LeAnn Rimes may have received criticism for her super-slim body, but the singer’s husband, Eddie Cibrian, thinks she looks just fine.

"I think she looks wonderful," the The Playboy Club actor gushed to Extra. "She is very healthy, and to me — perfect." 

After posting a few bikini shots of herself on Twitter earlier this year, many followers took issue with Rimes’ boney appearance. But Rimes assured them, "This is my body, and I can promise you I’m a healthy girl," she said. "I’m just lean. Thanks for your concern, but no need to be."

Cibrian says that he and his new wife make staying fit a priority, and that they go to the gym as a couple. "She [LeAnn] really loves to work out," the 38-year-old actor said of Rimes. "If I had my preference, I’d rather go outside and play basketball or golf."

Whoa.  Folks are all a-Twitter about next week’s promo for "Basketball Wives" that aired last night.  Jennifer Williams and her estranged soon-to-be-ex-husband Eric Williams get physical.  And it doesn’t look pretty.

Daniel Cormer was helping teammates Mo Lawal and Luke Rockhold prepare for their Sept. 10 bouts when he was given the opportunity of a lifetime. Alistair Overeem had dropped out of the Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix, and Cormier was being asked to step in and fight Antonio Silva. For Cormier, taking the fight with Silva was a no-brainer.

“Obviously, I had no reservations. I’m a person who thinks things through, and when I weighed out the positives and negatives, there was no reason for me to not take the fight,” Cormier told Cagewriter.

It’s a leap up in competition for the undefeated Cormier. His last bout was a unanimous decision over journeyman heavyweight Jeff Monson. With Overeem’s withdrawal, the tournament has lost one of its biggest names, but that doesn’t bother Cormier.

Swedish UFC fighter Reza Madadi is on a huge win streak. His victories include wins over Yoislandy Izquierdo, Rich Clementi, Carlo Prater and death. He saved a drowning toddler and his father in Sweden on Aug. 3.

After kayaking in the Stockholm Archipelago, he was headed to lunch when he saw a 1-year-old fall off of a pier into the water. The child’s father jumped in after his son. Instinct kicked in for Madadi, who once trained to be a firefighter, and he jumped in after the father.

“Everyone just panicked but I didn’t even think, I just acted on instinct,” Madadi said. “I could tell the man was very upset, but at the same time relieved. It’s easier said than done to act fast in situations like these. The problem is that many people start to think, but there is no time for thinking.”

Madadi brought them to safety. The coolest part of the report is that when people who were watching from the shore asked to take a picture of Madadi with the family, he said no out of respect of the shaken up family.

Fighters have been in the life-saving business before. Nick Ring came to the aid of a couple being mugged in Calgary. Jon Jones did the same the morning he won the UFC light heavyweight belt.

by Michael David SmithWith the first round of fights all out of the way on this season of The Ultimate Fighter, Ramsey Nijem has advanced to the quarterfinals and learned on this week’s episode that he’ll be taking on Clay Harvison next. In his weekly interview with MMAFighting.com, Nijem said that was a matchup he liked — but not the matchup he requested.

Nijem talked about his game plan for Harvison, which member of Brock Lesnar‘s team he would have preferred to fight, and how he felt about the wild card fight between Chuck O’Neil and Javier Torres.

Nijem also weighed in on the annual coaches’ challenge, which this year meant Lesnar and Junior dos Santos going through an obstacle course on Fertitta Field at Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas.
